Never thought I'd be at a point in my life where I'd say "No thanks, I don't want anymore X-Files."

^Same. How quickly I forgot why I stopped watching after S7 initially... I defended the second feature movie, but this recent season was soooo bad.

I turned off the first ep when they showed Mulder a real UFO in like the first 10 minutes.

The revival has retroactively made S9 relatively coherent and tasteful.

This could still be really good in the right hands! That's what's so damn frustrating about this. Why can't Carter get abducted by aliens or have his liver eaten by a 100-year-old mutant?

Those S10 comics they put out were infinitely more engaging and well-crafted than that abomination of a revival.

The last season was downright offensive and catered to the worst of America.
Like if they had an episode that parodied BLM it would be Michael Flynn Jr.: The Series.

Yeah I feel like anything that airs on network television these days is going to be bad because that's who still watches it

duchovny's turn as a transitioning woman in Twin Peaks in the early 90s was a more enlightened and respectful portrait of the issue than that one fucking episode in S10 that had a bunch of uncomfortable (and terribly unfunny!) trans jokes. wtf happened to darin morgan

Don't we already know this? I thought they were the original inhabitants of earth.

At least I made it through 2-3 new Arrested Development episodes. But I guess those were shorter.

the one darin morgan ep was the only halfway redeeming part of the revival, so i'm assuming they'll let him have at least one more crack at it

i'll probably just end up watching that and nothing else
