love this dude. not quite on ariel's level but all three records + the anthology are great.

I dunno, when Ariel's on he's on but Pitiless Censors is such a singular album it leaves Pink in the dust for me

This music video is also the greatest; would post if I wasn't mobile

Does anyone know where that footage is sourced from specifically? I'm guessing some mythologically based television show in India somewhere

Where does one start Mr. Maus? All I have heard is "Hey Moon" which I heard on a GorillavsBear radio episode then heard it on World Peace and yeah it's a great track. Anyway someone can help with what to check out next it would appreciated.

grab pitiless censors. if you like it, you'll like the others. particularly, songs, love is real, and the anthology.

yeah, I understand. before today and mature themes have gotten a little worse for me over time, and I think it's because sequenced track lists don't really fit him, and pitiless censors is a much better attempt at that. I probably like pom pom, worn copy, house arrest, and the doldrums more than any maus release though.

looks like they made a mistake and are trying to edit their way out, but apparently the album is called screen memories and is out 10/27.

Yeah they're fantastic too. Seeing him at Oberlin in 2012 is one of my top 3 concert experiences ever and his show last week might have topped it.

Yeah, he killed it last Friday. Band was tight, lot of dancing, even some crowd surfing.

Band was good. New songs sound pretty skeletal/ stripped down in comparison iirc
i told him i'll kick my own ass, then kick his ass, and then kick my own ass again. i told him to hit me, i live for the moments. i told him i will eat him. he said i didnt know him, and he's a beast. i told him im a demon.

That PS1 set is not indicative at all of his shows in more normal venues. The show I saw the night before was at least twice as long I think I heard 3 new songs. Honestly can't remember a ton of the new stuff -- wasn't too much of a departure but definitely more melody-focused? Like catchier and more groove-based. The setlist hit all the stuff I wanted to hear, except no Molly :(

Everyone in the crowd dramatically reaching out their hands during Do Your Best was :D
