bootlegs, studio albums, side projects, solo albums, dick's picks. I celebrate their entire catalog.

I've had Anthem of the Sun on a loop since I got down South three weeks ago and it's been 75 degrees every day. So good.

man Furthur is playing here

Image

in july and it's sold out and i can't find a reasonably priced ticket anywhere. i don't even care if the music is all that great, hearing phil and bobby play dead tunes on a field with mountains in the background the day after the fourth of july is just too perfect

i'm not a giant fan who knows the ins and outs of hundreds of shows (that's more phish for me). i probably have 15 shows on my HD and know 6-10 of those pretty well.

that said, 2/26/77 (my first show i ever owned) or 7/13/84 (Scarlet > Touch > Fire fuuuuck) are the two i go to the most

most of my shows are from 76-77

is it possible that my mother went to grateful dead shows and never smoked or drank because i always had trouble reconciling her being a deadhead with her also being clean as a whistle

Yes, The Dirty Turtle, people can enjoy music - even The Grateful Dead - sober.

it's just a sentiment i have very, very little patience for, with any band really. shows me that the person propagating it probably has never given the band in question much of a chance or much thought.

Row Jimmy is one of those songs i can't believe someone actually wrote. it just seems like it HAS to be traditional or something, it's so damn timeless and gorgeous

you can skip to like 3:00 into pt. 1 as everything before that is just tuning

well sorry guy i didnt mean to offend and honestly the question was more about my mother than it was about this band
i still cant figure how you can go your entire adult life and never once listen to a single song by the band you used to follow around when you were younger
its just something where nothing has ever added up quite right

anyyyywhoooo ill let you guys get back to it
