just cast a primary vote against Asian carp

also voted with the union (that i'm not a part of at the moment lol) and went with craig Fitzhugh for guvna since apparently karl dean hasn't unequivocally spoken out against charter schools

and then voted for three people I went to high school with who are running for city council lol

had time to check the 2016 results here for house

MI: R+1
MN: D+3.5
WI: roughly R+0.5 (have to estimate cause Ron Kind was uncontested)

probably good enough MN numbers to pick up the Lewis and Paulsen seats, hold Walz's, dunno about Nolan's seat cause it's the hardest D hold in the country. pretty good numbers in Michigan for having a run at the open Trott seat and at Bishop, and maybe Walberg. Wisconsin is gerrymandered well, did you know, so I think you're still just looking at Ryan's seat as a toss-up there.

those polls have been getting knocked for not weighting by education, which is a fair complaint these days (college educated voters are more likely to answer polls, I think, so you can fuck up your white samples with current the D/R education split)

it's nuts that a sovereign nation is actively and openly targeting our elections and the response is basically "welp, be careful out there!"

Marquette has a narrow Walker lead but ppp keeps showing Evers ahead

more specifically, PPP put out an internal in May with Evers up 4, then Marquette had Walker up 4 last month. I wouldn't believe that Walker is really 13 points behind right now, but you'd have to think that the chances he loses are higher than the CW

one thing that seems consistent is Baldwin cruising to re-election by double digits, so, if that ends up being the case something you have to imagine for Walker to win is a decent number of Baldwin/Walker voters.

Margin of error is huge on the poll, and it was conducted before a bunch of allegations came out against Rick Nolan's handling of his former legislative director's sexual harassment

Still really weird to me, I really don't want Swanson. Guess she's been AG long enough for decent name recognition. Hope Murphy pulls it out but those numbers are shockingly bad for her
