Rodney Frelinghyusen voted against the tax bill and he's raising no money so far so I'd bet again on him retiring

yeah, Mikie Sherrill is going to cruise in NJ-11 now, with or without Frelinghuysen retiring. Sure would be nice if NJ had partisan redistricting so that she could shore up her seat by swinging into Pascrell's territory in Bergen County, but if she can survive for a couple of terms she'd probably be a good candidate for succeeding Booker if he runs in 2020 or Menendez whenever he leaves.

No other NJ representative is good enough to run statewide right now.

his conference was already pissed at him cause like the appropriations chair can't vote against major legislation from his own party so I don't really see him having a future

1) get rid of Leroy Jones and Joe D in Essex County (this is impossible) and try to install a non machine chair of the Hudson County Democrats now that Prieto is done
2) I dunno, get even more young people from Greenpoint to move into Jersey City I guess

He's not going anywhere for a long time

Apparently they are challenging an allegedly uncounted ballot, not a ballot that was counted for Simonds.

You don't think Steven Fulop will be the next senator from NJ?

Which would make it a tie, and according to virginia law, ties are broken by blindfolded representatives from each party spitting a wad of chewing tobacco into two spitoon's marked "elected" and "not elected"

Hudson too weak, the Tony Soprano shit that Menendez directed at Fulop after the trial is revealing, the statewide boss George Norcross detests Fulop... Plus Fulop kinda sucks. Reminds me of a worse Gavin Newsom.

I am increasingly becoming worried about the theory everyone is throwing out now that the more that this midterm election looks like it's going to be a bloodbath, the more urgency Republicans will feel to loot and destroy everything they can, norms and consequences be damned, before the walls come crashing down.

Especially because I think it's always hard to predict how difficult that kind of damage can be to undo after a few years.
