Here are my opinions on the beatles

- They never made an album that is good all the way through
- In fact, the only thing you need from the beatles is a 2cd compilation, just pick the best 15-20 songs and then skip everything else
- Most of the bands they influence just aren't that good, if bands stopped trying to ever sound like the beatles the world would be better
(there was a hyperbole)

it is wild that for a band as acclaimed and canonized as they are they never put together a record that was good all the way through. i mean they wrote a ton of killer pop songs and did a ton of crazy inventive stuff so it's not like their stature is unearned, it's just weird that they never had one perfect record in them. but i blame that on their egos
