Seems like the menu is missing music, according to blu ray.com - otherwise, the movie/extras are fine.

I struggle to not spend every waking moment not watching/thinking about it. Not sure I could wait 2 years for another dive back in.

i have done one rewatch since getting the blu rays. since then though, i often get the itch but then feel frustrated that i can't watch ALL of it in one night.

PSA for anyone who hasn't bought the blu rays, HIGHLY recommend getting them or at least downloading that like 10-part making-of. i legit was almost as bummed when that was over as when the series ended. like, i could just watch these people make stuff all day

i've probably posted it like 10 times but this is such a special scene to have captured. like it kind of makes me sad because it hits me how many little beautiful moments like this happen that I won't ever see, but also thankful for the ones I have been there for, or something.

Happy 1 year to the return. The new intro with the overplayed red curtains on the black lodge chevron floor with the original music evoked so much excitement from me the 1st time. This was truly a blessing and I'm so happy how much it exceeded all expectations and delivered week to week. Truly an event.

there's a new johnny jewel in the leak thread, "songs for television," that includes pieces he worked on leading up to twin peaks that informed his work on the show, including an alternate version of 'windswept'

not seeing a lot of articles yet today but here's a deep dive on sweeping from av club:

Still kinda feel this way. I think more so because I know that I'll want the conditions to be just right and to curl up on the couch with all the lights off each night at like midnight for 3 weeks straight and that sorta time and attention is hard to come by.

Got an OLED coming soon, so that might prompt a revisit. But, despite the fact that this debuted in the summer, I kinda feel like fall/winter would be the best time for a revisit.

Was listening to this on a drive home late last night and when Windswept came on I shot back directly to that ep midseason where it plays over the credits while Coop is just hanging around that statue and it was heartbreaking in the best way

https://birthmoviesdeath.com/2018/05/24/twin-peaks-the-return-marathon-showtime

"Showtime will air all 18 parts of the Twin Peaks limited series as part of an Emmy For Your Consideration marathon on June 2. The uninterrupted run will begin at 4:35 AM ET/PT and end at 10 PM PT/ET on Showtime 2. The entire series is also available to subscribers on multiple television and streaming providers’ devices, websites and applications and their free On Demand channels."

so does this mean they're potentially eligible for this year's Emmy's? I have no idea how any of this works

a network has to submit to certain nom categories to be considered is my understanding. here's showtime's submissions for s3 and uh SMILF and uhhh:

I can’t exactly pinpoint why but this scene from FWWM really fucks with me so hard. It just comes out of nowhere. Almost has the same kind of ‘off’ feeling that flows through S3. It really highlights how disconnected from reality Laura became, the way she was seemingly unaffected by the shocking violence she saw seconds earlier is maybe the most horrifying part of the scene. Sheryl Lee plays it perfectly

that scene, especially Bobby's horror at Laura's response, really fucked me up the first time I saw it.

the scene where laura is on the lawn crying as Leland walks out of the house is maybe the most horrifying scene I've ever seen in a movie.
