they're going to have to expand on the book because i dont see how they stretch it out over ~40 episodes

This isn't spoilery but it's about the potential sequel to the book -- it's in the pipeline but not really any time soon -- and how it may integrate into the show anyway.

Gordon-Levitt that was adapting Sandman to screen bailed on the project around a year ago. He stated that the writer and him didn't see eye-to-eye.

Also I don't remember that "spit cum on his grave," being in the book.

I really liked the book, love Sandman/all the spinoffs, and am a big fan of most of Gaiman's work in general, can't wait to watch this.

Easter (if that is her in the trailer) looks comPLETELY different than how she looks in my head. She's supposed to be a bit thick, not some tiny little waif of a god

Every god casted so far has been spot on, from Low-Key Lyesmith to Peter Stormare as Czernobog.

it's fun, but I want a faster pace moving forward. I just don't want to hype it up because I'll probably get disappointed. lots of potential though

Great ep. Also, started audiobooking on my 13-hour drive today and it's amazing how close this is sticking to the book, both plot-wise and with like line-for-line dialogue.

uh idk i thought the second episode sucked. it was such a chore to watch and at one point i thought it was a criticism of "Peak TV" -- let's make a very boring, slow-paced show with complicated characters that's visually beautiful/interesting. i get people are loving "American Gods" because they have an affinity for the novel so maybe i'm just not getting it. im still going to stick with it for at least two more episodes but i am pretty sure this isnt for me. im putting it in the "Preacher," "Sense8," and "Westworld" category.

but ian mcshane slays

i mean, if you like/love "Sense8" i get it. but there's no denying it's a mess. still, i admire that show a lot and will watch every episode.

There's only been 2 episodes of "American Gods" so i'm still going to give it a chance but it is not hooking me. the show is going for challenging TV for the sake of being Challenging TV.

This one clinched me. I'm in.

Getting used to the pacing of the show. And I really liked the 3 Sisters reveal. I remember next to nothing from the book so that moment really worked.
