Atletico were too good for the EL.

They should probably just get rid of the whole 'move from CL to EL if you're third' thing.

Just to go back to this...

I've no axe to grind with Villa in general, but this current team is utterly detestable. Terry, Snodgrass, Grealish...

I suppose I should be for Aston, but I am more of a neutral in this. After watching both teams only in the playoffs it seems a good match will come of it.

What did Snodgrass do? I would prefer Villa to come up, London is over-represented in the Prem.

France's Left at Home XI is probably better than England's starters right

Costil
Debuchy - Laporte - Sakho/Zouma - Digne/Kurzawa
Rabiot - Kondogbia/Sissoko
Coman - Benzema - Lacazette/Ben Yedder - Martial

Rabiot is filthy. He also definitely parties. He looked so hungover in the second leg of Barca last year. any dude not giving such a fuck is my kinda player. He was probably blowing down fat ones and hooking up with models at rex club the night before too legend

would have loved laporte instead of rami, and martial or actually anyone instead of thauvin but deschamps loves marseille way too much...

and yeah when rabiot and his mom are not calling the club to get a raise or to threaten psg with a move to city he's the man:

Parma are back into Serie A! Since Buffon is leaving Juventus and not officially retiring tomorrow, what are the odds of him signing a contract with Parma in the summer?

This is really wonderful. Don't they occasionally fly Palestinian flags in solidarity after instances of Israeli military aggression? It is something that is obviously linked to their own national struggle, but my British history is really poor...

Irish people in Northern Ireland have always drawn parallels between the plantation of Ulster and the establishment of the Jewish state in Palestine. When we were in Belfast there were quite a few murals with names and pictures of Palestinians who have been killed in the conflict. Also saw a few houses on Loyalist side flying Israeli flags.

that's fairly standard. the green brigade have had a few palestine related displays. like bernie said, palestinian flags are semi common in communities where celtic support might also be common in north & nw ireland, although the same isn't true for the communities in which most irish boarders grew up. as an example, my auntie has an oversized one in her garden, and there's a palestinian flag at the turnoff for the townland where i grew up.
