the idea of watching a season of this show entirely predicated on freeing archie from prison & dismantling the hiram/penelope/clifford/ghoulies/penny axisToggle Spoiler with like 2/3 month-long breaks & at 30 episodes total or w/e just sounds extremely Not My Shit

guess i'm kinda glad i watched s1+2 tho?? lol
yeah
everything about the gangs/civil war/hiram lodge sucks
just go back to high-school problems for high-school kids with the occasional spooky murder mystery to solve
I'm just catching up, but I fucking love that Archie's started two ill-advised homoerotic gangs this season - a shirts gang for mafia business and a shirtless gang for black hood business.
My wife watched this and I caught a handful of episodes. It's so ridiculous but i found it enjoyable enough and I appreciated that I could also do other things while watching (stretches, folding laundry, etc).

Just finished S2 and came in here to basically say this. Things are getting... way more into left field than I thought.
One of my friends and I were drunk gushing about how much we love this show and she was telling me that the staff writers are basically kids in their 20's that don't know how to wrangle a storyline and I have no idea if that's true but it makes a ton of sense. They just keep trying to out-do themselves when that's super not necessary.
Love watching Skeet Ulrich in his little soda jerk hat and uniform, more of that please in s3.
I binge watched like the second half of s2 a couple weeks ago and I was on a decent amount of Xanax for most it but I’m pretty sure they gave the adults and the kids the exact same arcs and storylines at the exact same time and at every new twist I would sort of sigh, in my extremely Xanax voice, “whaaaaaaaaat”
Anyway yeah more skeet and also I’m completely in love with sweet pea in addition to jughead. And I miss s1 Reggie STILL and no I will NOT get over it
Oh and yo I fucking love the girl power friendship shit they have going on. Like they can be catty as hell but they always have each other’s backs 100% especially when it comes to putting dudes in their places

This makes total sense and makes me love the show like twice as much.
