Very dope. What are you using to do your stuff? I've really been into 3d design lately and have been fucking with Cinema 4D in After Effects and some Blender.

i use cinema 4d. usually some photoshop or lightroom after that, but this time straight from c4d. might do a re-render overnight tonight to get better detail in the shadows.

thanks!! i can't usually add as much detail with my current cpu/gpu without render times being in the days.

with the low light i didn't need to enable global illumination at all, which helped a lot.

i'm really fond of klim type foundry. tiempos, founders grotesk, national, all great redrawn typefaces who feels really contemporary but based on the classics.

i just love browsing type foundries in general, http://type-foundries-archive.com/ is a great way to explore.

does anyone here design for websites? is it not a common practice to pass off flats with specified sizes to developers? we have a style guide with color/components but keep having miscommunication with small stuff like spacing between elements

Have any recommendations on where to find foundries from specific eras (like 1970's - 80s) and their digitized equivalent? Usually I use fontsinuse for design inspiration, but its really hard to find some types digitized

yea, not sure what else you can do but communicate the importance of following a consequent style guide? like, do the style guide/the flats specify clearly a logic to the spacing? the trouble w flats is that it is static, and the web has so many variables of sizes. and dealing with css-size mechanics like rem makes it all relative (which it should be), so yea maybe theres something there?

hmm, i don't know much about 70s-80s type really. are there a specific type of font you are looking for? like, lettering stuff? probably the best answer is to look up some books, and work from there

tm research archive is really cool. it's swiss, so naturally there's 90% akzidens grotesk lol
typedia is a encyclopedia of typefaces, but you kinda have to know what to look for.
