I was watching an anime the other day (I forgot what anime, but it doesn't matter, which is why this is in parenthesis), and one of the episodes was discussing this tune and I thought it was really good so I thought I must post about it. Is it cool to like? I can't post a youtubes because I'm in a phone, but I assume you already know about it.
It's considered a tad "corny classics" - you know, soundtracking ads for butter and generally being sonic shorthand for "classic" "stately" and "quality" - but, fuck me sideways, it's a cracking tune.
Double, did you play it on an instrument because that would be cool and totally a reason for a 12 year old to like it, or were you just cool like that?

I was into those wierd, new-agey CDs you would find at nature stores at that age and one of mind had a version of Canon on it. I was definitely not cool at the time.

Seems to be in now, which is cool because there are too many classical compositions I like that I'm trying to keep hid.
one of my coworkers will play this at a low volume on repeat, but not the whole song—just the part where it sorta climaxes, the part that everyone thinks of when they think of this song.
it's just a 30 second chunk of canon in D on repeat over and over again.
other days it's the youtube for the best of mst3k final sacrifice on repeat. it's like a 9-minute video and this person will just play it over and over.
