There's a place in my neighborhood called Bread and Board.

Is this the new trend now? Has it supplanted including the street name in your eatery?

I hate more the ones that have three words below the sign like

Organic. Natural. Good.

I always think of Eat Pray Love

i feel like restaurants that do this are always named a one syllable word like "plant" or "fork" etc

Seed and Salt is a thing in SF

I also hate restaurants that are just a woman’s name, e.g. Jane, Emily, etc
And I feel like this year is really about, just the year of realizing stuff.

This is a pizza restaurant near where I live. All the menu items are named after Ryan Adams songs. Actually really good pizza.

as annoying as food culture can be, I wouldn't exactly want to go back in time to the days before (some, largely privileged) Americans started to care about food again

there's one here called "bread & cup". the owner is a pretentious dickwad (shocker) who did not pay his employees after a second restaurant he opened failed miserably. i have no clue how this one is still in business.
