Someway, baby, it's part of me, apart from me You're laying waste to Halloween You fucked it friend, it's on its head, it struck the street You're in Milwaukee, off your feet
ive noticed in online Bon-related comment sections that BonHeads rebuke other Bon listeners clamouring after more For Emma... sonics in the wake of the experimentation of later albums by saying, "Listen to Hazeltons!!!"

the thing i noticed most with hazeltons is he seemed to be on the verge of being a more upbeat version of himself and of hoot music but North Carolina broke him and then Emma...and then he went to The Cabin and in a monastic way became more forlorn. it's what like what bingo used to say about guys like us, he used to call us "Destroyed Dudes" and sometimes they say wild ass shit that makes you laugh as much as it makes you cry because Destroyed Dudes are ridiculous but in a weird way, in all their self-reverie, they can be quite soulful and i guess that's what happened in that little timber cabin, miles outside of Eau Claire...forever ago

i'm certainly guilt of it too, when i was 23 and suffered my first crushing heartbreak i wore a tensor bandage around my hand/wrist for like a week despite it not being injured whatsoever just so people would ask what i did and i could say "Don't worry about it" and walk away
