apparently the first one kinda stinks?

no way. the first one does indeed suck big time. and like rixx said the second one is phenomenal especially for its budget.

Well yeah I mean I had a low key chuckle here and there. I think some of the acting choices, like the one you mentioned, flirted with melodrama and camp juuuuust enough to warrant a light reaction. But for some people that meant bust a gut

I liked it but go in and try to forget the hype along with anything you've seen.

My theater audibly gasped at this line. It was a half full audience, mix of teens and adult couples. I was worried during the previews because everyone was loud but it seemed like we were all completely drawn into the film and while there was also laughter, it was totally tension relieving /nervous. Film ruled. Best movie I've seen on the big screen in ages.

they fit true to size but maybe a liiiittle big - for reference i'm 5'10" and wearing a medium in that pic so it'll probably shrink to perfect size (it's a bit long currently).

That dude that smiled at Charlie at the open casket was some Lynchian shit

I thought maybe it was him being Paimon in the dark doorway towards the climax

Also the background kid at the party trying to stand casually while Peter approached his crush was so true to awkward bro life

I might try to write my proper thoughts when I have a real keyboard but basically this was all my 70s “octopus illustrated guide to demons and witchcraft” type books mixed with modern acting/serious family drama and the vibe was just soooooo what I love
