I'm only 3 episodes in on season 1 but that cop didn't change at all except he shaved and wore a suit
Where do I but these fancy t-shirts the 5 are wearing? Are they still even called t-shirts? Like that dark one with blue neck and white sleeve on Tan in s1e2

I appreciated the burning man episode because it felt like they actually had to work and be creative with him and not just give him some bonobos and paint an accent wall and tell him to get confidence, stupid
But man, wet nuts? That’s the snack you’re gonna teach him?
I really connect with the guys who don’t cry because most of them seem like people who don’t need this dramatic emotional stoppage cleared by strangers. The either self confident or put together people. Mostly they remind me of this thing I did in my catholic all boys high school called kairos and one of the things you do and is kept a big secret is that your friends and parents write you letters saying much they care about you and it’s super emotional and you also sort of just do group therapy that’s sort of Christian themed but that’s also emotional and all the bros in my class just broke down and had these epiphanies but I was a guy listening to get up kids and writing every angsty love lorn thing in my diaryland page so I didn’t need an outlet and understoood that my parents loved me and it was just sort of cool and felt good but wasn’t that his overwhelming gut bomb of feelings

Also there were some really conspicuous overdubs in the Arian episode that make me wonder if the episode originally had a different arc
Yeah I felt bad when Bobby put that boat picture in the Frasier guy's bedroom even though it seemed like their previous wall art had been paintings that he and his girlfriend had done

I actually made this one myself after we did that episode and they’re fucking delicious.
Love the show love the 5 (gonna block my ears from Jonathan goss for the time being.) If it’s true then they do an incredible job of cutting and acting around shitty behavior. the first two — mama Tammy and the sci fi movie guy— and skyler were my high points. but I cried at least once per Ep.
One weird moment from this season, what was up with Tan’s like super entry level knowledge of the trans experience? Those questions to Skyler in the car could have come from my grandmother and I didn’t get the sense he was doing it as “Unknowledgeable audience surrogate.” I don’t know anything about Tan so maybe his bio would explain it in some way?

He comes from a super conservative upbringing and admits that, outside of his actual sexual orientation and personal relationship, he was never really immersed in the queer culture and larger community before the show. He may have been acting extra naive for the sake of the audience but I think he sincerely had never thought much about the trans experience simply because it never occurred to him.
