a little off-topic but i've been revisiting rabbit fur coat lately and am just flabbergasted by how good it is still

is my recollection correct that this band basically broke up over the guy's insecurity?

saw them for under the blacklight when I was 15 and I was angry that Jenny wore gold hot pants on stage. I thought she had "gone sexy" and "sold out".

had a great b-side / covers collection I got off livejournal that I really need to find. had a version of "fernando" before that album was actually released. "American wife" and "patiently" off rkives are fucking GREAT SONGS

Always thought "Does He Love You?" was a great track. Never saw them, but did see Jenny when Rabbit Fur Coat came out.

vague memory is that initial premise was he would be frontman or that they would both front and he felt marginalized when it became clear what a talent jenny was; there was a spin mag profile around the time of under the blacklight that was not short on either details of or allusions to ego-related strife

they were *both* child stars, right?

I will love the band always. Circa 2003, I got drunk and punched a friend in the nose and then bought him Execution of All Things in penance. He forgave me. Take Offs and Landings is probably my fave. Best of the Saddle Creek bands imo
