I hate super hero movies. It seems like they’re making more and more of them, so it’s becoming somewhat of a burden for me to avoid discussion of them on the internet. They’re really dumb. They’re a bunch of special effects + no plot + an endless barrage of extremely corny jokes. The last one I can remember enjoying was the second dark knight, which was the only one I saw. Why so serious, anyone?

I’ll orobably see black panther because I like that director, but I’ll probably end up angry that I wasted 2 hours. I assume it’s 2 hours at least because all movies are too long nowadays. 99% of superhero movies are exactly the same as one another, and I hate them.

By the way I include Star Wars in this. I hate all Star Wars.
I am going to buy more books about elderly dogs in the future. Thank you.

i don't like em either so i don't watch them. It's pretty easy enough.

Although I have made it my mission to prank the Star Wars Red Cup (2018) thread.

Black panther is not as good as its fanfare suggests. If you hate superhero movies you probably won’t like it.

yeah, i need to rewatch it to see if emo peter etc is endearing or annoying. the idea is very funny to me, and isn't too far from what i like about the first two anyway

i hate these movies too

avoiding discussion of these movies on the internet should be easy. i know i've managed to do it. but i do get a sense of dread about them. these movies are everywhere in pop culture and there are so many of them. they seem to function as a common thread of interest for many people. but i only have very critical thoughts about them. i find the lack of dialogue and special effects to be pretty specious.

i love long films. duration is not an issue for me. the last superhero movie i saw in full was Iron Man. i didn't watch any of the new Star Wars and i don't think i ever will.

Superhero movies are just one of the many numerous things I have to pretend to be slightly interested but haven't seen yet when normies ask me if I've seen/heard/etc. them

ive been watching a bunch of american 70s/80s action/crime/thriller movies lately made by big studios like MGM or whatever and thinking about how unfortunate it is that superhero movies get studio priority over movies about like haggard old cons breaking out of a prison in alaska, amateur soldiers being stalked in a swamp, or just "driver" movies broadly speaking. it sucks that the only time we get films like this theyre expressly throwback cover movies like logan lucky or baby driver or whatever.

lets have the superhero movies stop and good hollywood action/crime movies come back in their place. thatd be good! i know this isnt a 1:1 but i really do feel like if there was less of an emphasis on churning out marvel movies we'd see more interesting/original genre movies.
