- Unstoppable force
- Sight gags
- Gadgets
- rocky romance subplot

can't even tell if you're posting about twister or titanic here. for instance in titanic leo has a gadget called his artistic vision.

This is a time when I wish threads had fire alarms so I could pull it and you all would come back outside to the other threads.

I was talking about Shin Godzilla with someone earlier (hell yeah), and I thought about this thread and came to the conclusion Star Wars and superhero movies are too tonally or narratively constricted. Shin Godzilla is a film where Godzilla is just an incidental element for a good chunk of it; there's no equivalent for Star Wars or superheroes. There's no film about a Justice League costume competition or some shit. Phantom Thread but in the DC universe does not exist.

Twister is such a perfect Michael Crichton creation in that it's about a natural disaster but still features a cartoonish bad guy who eats it in the most glorious crowdpleasing fashion.

to everyone who hates on Twister, to quote Carey Elwes' Dr. Jonas: the next time I want your opinion, I'll give it to you.

Alan Ruck looked the same in 1996 as he did in 1985. Looks like they just combed his hair back.

Ah piss. Someone has rubbed the bathroom handle enough that it is simply too hot to touch. I might burn my handoff if I try to leave.

This mysterious character is formidable to be certain.
