imagine not having to go to work

Health insurance rip off lying FDA big bankers buying

You're all fakes
Run to your mansions
Come around

having to go to work sucks, but the only thing that's worse is not working and not knowing when you'll work again

the sweet spot is having several days off from work. i've heard tell that this is called a 'vacation'

what does one do? so far my plan consists of doing what I usally would want to but don't find the time for, but that would be done in about a week, I guess? playing stardew valley? what???
travelling is sadly not an option.

I have a student who has ASD and lots of problems with stress management... Today she asked if I would give her advice... Basically she wanted to know what she should do when she really wants to work on her drawings but has to do geometry homework. I told her I would either set a timer where she could only work on drawing and not think about anything else, or just focus and get the math done so she could focus on her drawings afterward. It was really sad.

I quit my teaching job last May, volunteered full time and sold some of my expensive LPs and learned about fundraising for non profits, got recruited by a community partner in September and now I have two full time jobs: one paid and one volunteer.

Was on welfare for a long time; the worst part was the social stigma... kept myself isolated because I was embarrassed about it. Then I got a job and:

I would love to be my rich coach friends who coach kids for peanuts because they love it.

It would rule to not have to worry about money.

i worked insane hours from late last summer to the end of march. since then i've not been working all that much. a few days locally, (1) 2 day trip and (1) 3 day trip.

i always squander my time when this happens because i don't plan well. it always feels so weird to go full throttle to "huh, no work today". but yeah work sucks. if this works out well i will be slow in july and august when i already had vacations planned and tackon a day or 3 to them. then if it goes perfect i will get busy again.

Yeah it's really dependent on if you enjoy what you are doing at all. Between shitty minimum wage jobs (which is all i'm qualified for) or not working. Definitely the second for me. Both are empty but at least the second affords me time to myself (but almost no spare money obviously). If i did the first i'd be dead by now. And yeah i do very much realise i'm privileged to live in a country that allowed me a living anyway (well not really i have to supplement it or else i dont' get by) ALTHOUGH i did live nearly a decade without it still. It just kinda stopped being feasible and i realised i kinda wasn't gonna feel bad anymore for taking the government's/taxpayers money. Obviously i'm simplifying things a little. I do clearly have issues....

I can't find a better picture of this but Victor Valla painted the ingenuity of man and it's basically industries running off guillotines that separate man from thought for production but also I like how blurry this picture is because it symbolizes how far away we are headed from even realizing this
