they keep doing the repeated cuts that seem this way, and the KC boyfriend spending more time investigating his gfs troubled past than being shown doing any detective work on the case at hand seems plausible.

so my theory of it is that her sister was killed in a munchausen by proxy situation and camille knows/saw it and blames herself.

I'm not really sure who the Killer is but I don't think it's Alan. I think the show wants us to be leaning in the direction of the mom so I don't think it's her who knows.
so apparently Amma's Drama teacher couldn't get it up and didn't participate in what she called a train, amma is def her kid. Which I guess would be the reason he was weird to Amma during Calhoun day rehearsals. The fact that he knows where she truly comes from.
They even had a comment in the car when she got picked up by Amma's friends. One of the boys said Amy Adams could be their mom's age which she asked how old and that boy said 33 or 34. Amy Adams seemed to accept that answer as a similar age.
Maybe im way offToggle Spoiler

while we're throwing out wild baseless guesses, i don't think it was the mom or anyone in the family, but i think the mom/family/youngest daughter has been orchestrating all the murders.
reasons being anything from social and political clout to straight up witchcraft cult.
worrying about who psychically carried out the killing is pointless if that were the case.

yeah my guess at this point is either adora/step-dad/daughter in concert with the sheriff and are putting the frame job on the brother. in any event i think it's probably a conspiracy thing.
i too agree that the murder mystery is not one of the most interesting aspects of this. it's just below the inexplicable rollerskating

my gf suggested that maybe it really is the simplest explanation that it is just actually John Keene who killed both and the show is really about the damaging effects of nuclear-level goss and paranoia in a small town.

I assume Ashley killed her and John is complicit in helping her cover it up. Just a hunch!
I would be shocked if the killer is male, considering what we know and the author’s penchant for showing the complex and dark sides of feminity.
I assume the teeth extraction has something to do with rendering beauty/youth non-existent even after death as a result of jealousy.Toggle SpoilerBut mostly, as people have said, I enjoy this show for its vibe, tension, and the mom’s insults. She cold
I think vinyl dude is just the embodiment of “I don’t wanna deal with this shit and drama so give me a good vinyl and a stiff drink,” but who the hell knows.

I'd been getting an Ashley vibe since this last ep, and I had always thought
the teeth were removed to cover up a bite mark rather than a weird cult or power move (in an early ep step dad was biting his hand during the cutting/poison montage), but now it's Ashley missing part of her earToggle Spoiler.
but I'd also guess it's just as likely to be two different murderers.

yeah ever since messina's line in E2 or whatever about how a woman couldn't have done this, it's been sort of clear that a woman did it

I'd really prefer this. all of the twists that are mentioned sound pretty stupid. the only thing opening this up to like a gotcha twist is the woman in white roaming around and figuring out her deal

yeah but then he said it took him all of his might to pull the teeth. there's a guy involved, I don't think it's a trick the story is playing on the viewer. I think they're just saying "whoever did this had to be a man"
If it's some town conspiracy, oh brother

I couldn't sleep a few nights ago and read the last 100 pages of the book (which I got for Christmas but never read) and now I'm so pissed at myself for spoiling the last two eps. Hoping there are some more major differences from the book.
