I cheer on anything that's left of the dial and not a comic book or sequel pandering to 13 year old boys. a24 is good! they're pandering to 30 year old boys now

The Rover is just all time. It’s real special. It just knows how to fucking world build a garbage world by showing you desperate people trying to live and what little things still maintain value/give you a purpose. Guy Pierce is the most angry man I’ve ever seen in a movie. Just the angriest.

Green Room is just the best Carpenter/Hill rip-off to come around in a decade filled with guys ripping them off. It doesn’t have anything to say, but who cares because it’s real good.

First Reformed, Good Times, The Witch and The Monster are real good too.

Somewhere along the way, A24 started becoming a bit of a self parody. This one in particular seems atrocious

This thread was not intended to litigate the quality of the films released by a24 but the company’s wild marketing strategies

I nominate mellowgold and myself for the position

what are the wild marketing strategies? im unaware of the strategies so much as the themes of what they seem to release.
