Let's talk Aguachile Alley

My league had some people that picked 2 QBs in the top half of the draft. It was annoying. I mean it helped with finding more value in other guys, but Mahomes was by far my best option available because of his potential by the time I scooped one up in rd 11. Like some idiot has Tom Brady and Cam Newton on his time. I'm thinking if I'm as deep at WR as I could be, I could flip someone for one of them when his garbage RB/WR are killing him.
Like Keenum and Bortles might be the best undrafted.

Not taken. You think he'll bounce back this year with Crabtree and the other new guys?

Yeah he’s got more support and he’s healthy so I expect him to have his best season honestly. He’d be a better pick than Bortles. But one problem is he might get subbed for Lamar in the red zone from time to time.
Maybe grab Keenum but be ready to swap for Flacco if early indications are positive?

I could see that. I think I may let it ride for a week or two and see what my lower ranked WR/RB guys look like in terms of carries/targets and then drop the least likely to contribute.
Nice thing is I'm #2 on the waiver wire after week one. Love the week one waiver wire. Though I wish it was based on who used it most recently. After the first week, it's based on standings. I don't think you should get a bonus for being worse.

my league had this one year and it was awful and i forced them to change it the next year. waiver wire should reward patience & prudence, it shouldn't just equalize out the league week to week

Sorry dude unfortunately I begged and begged everyone to pay last year with the caveat that if an owner does not pay they can't return the following year due to commitment and demand to get in to the league. It's not fair to everyone else.
The winner got one League fee less in their winning payout.

I could do tomorrow. How do the payments work again? Do we pay first before drafting?

Keep in mind I think we have everybody returning. That's 12 teams. We talked about pushing it the 14. That only leaves us with two spots. I'd be willing to do 16 to accommodate everyone but I can't expect everybody else to make the league that deep. Waiver pool will be bleak.
I'm guessing we'll have to keep it at 14 and only have two spots available.
(This isn't an idea I'm just talking out loud about the demand to get in)
Just some wishful thinking but it would be pretty cool if we had 24 teams. Make two leagues of 12 and the winner of each place in a Super Bowl for the ultimate globey Hipinion bragging rights.

isn't barkley a pretty risky 1st round pick considering the giant's o-line and general instability?
i dunno but i've always felt that o-line and projected team performance are just as important than the quality of the player. if your team is often behind and/or your o-line sucks then you're not going to run the ball well.
i'm not basing this on any stats or anything though so maybe what i'm saying is wrong... i'm still pretty new to fantasy football.
