what does this cultural moment mean to you

Health insurance rip off lying FDA big bankers buying
Fake computer crashes dining
Cloning while they're multiplying
Fashion shoots with Beck and Hanson
Courtney Love, and Marilyn Manson
You're all fakes

i played this game a lot at my friend's house in his half-finished basement until his mom yelled at us to go outside (we later learned that she was having an affair with another married woman down the block)

my friend insisted that various benign lyrics from the soundtrack were actually swears (for example, he said that the chorus to "cyco vision" by suicidal tendencies was actually "psycho bastard")
"My foremost duty is to the board," Important Dentist countered. "I
cannot afford to spend that much time researching human sexuality."

long east coast winters in which actual skateboarding was not feasible for me and my friend

sometimes we'd get so bored of being inside that we'd just take multiple pieces of plywood, put on a hoodie and then throw it over some frozen grass and then completely fail at kickflips.

finally a cultural moment i know about.

Tony Hawk was v cool. Last time i remembered playing a skating game was Skate or die 2. Beyond the second one though i was already burned out on it. I didn't play either THAT much too. Probably rented the second one 3 or 4 times at most. I don't think anything went wrong with the series, it's just that after a while it was all been there done that, what more could you add to a skateboarding game to make it fresher?

Soundtracks did not stick with me though, never was much my type of music.

oh fuck nm. That's the fourth one. Wow i did not remember playing the series that far in. And hmm, now i think i actually DIDN'T play the first one.

Yeah fourth one had a better soundtrack. This is where for some reason i first heard AC/DC TNT.

God, I loved the early Tony Hawk games so much. And everytime they announced a new game with new mechanics like manuals and reverts, holy shit.

I was one of those losers who insisted on playing it relatively realistically, so I would get annoyed at non-skater friends who would jam on buttons to pull off 5 different tricks in the air while on a halfpipe.
