hii!! in the pop thread i suggested this:

mellowgold wrote: also i feel like we should be more interactive ITT? like for ppl interested what if we all pick a Classic or Important or Controversial (idkidk) Pop Album and revisit it and then post our thoughts about it itt?? idk just a thought!

so i promised to make a thread for this idea last week but i forgot and this is me doing that now. i'd like this to be v interactive for people who care about this stuff! please don't post ITT if you DON'T care!!!

Anyway, i'd like to decide on an album we can (re)-visit this week. I listened to "1989" last week but maybe that's too recent? but i'm even down for like revisiting "Witness" or something!

So let's decide on what we should do for our first album!! Sound off in the comments below! thank you for visiting this thread and enjoy yr stay! x

I like the suggestions so far. I think the ones not used could just be put on a list or something and we'll go through them after the first month.

One I want us to get to at some point: The Veronicas - Hook Me Up

Bangerz could be good too. I'm v familiar with 1989 but maybe it's the best opening blast to get us all on board.

ok i guess my suggestion is Hilary Duff's Breathe In. Breathe Out.

think that was really underrated bc EMOTION came out like a week later and totally overshadowed it

More indie pop than straight pop (though I think both artists are involved in top40 nowadays):

Tegan and Sara - So Jealous
The Format - Dog Problems

Hiii ok so i guess we'll do Hilary Duff!

I don't know if you all want to go through her discography (she's basically got 4 albums) or just do "Breathe In. Breathe Out."?? i guess we can decide moving forward but let's just start with "BIBO" for now!!

BlackSugar wrote:I'm in. we should db any pick we do because I'm a little light on 00s-era pop

i just use spotify so i wouldnt be able to do this but if someone could that would be cool.

One album makes more sense to me than a discography, of course there will be some contextualizing regardless

yeah that makes sense! There's also a Best of Hilary Duff album from 2009. I think that + "BIBO" would be enough. shes also got some really good recent one off singles
