these are great for the basics (and certainly advanced movements as well, but they really do the beginner/intermediate stuff well, with a solid foundation in human physiology/movement, with an emphasis on doing things properly to avoid injury)

yeah i do some wrist warm ups but i think overall my wrist mobility could be a lot better, still doesn't feel too good when i front squat so gotta keep the weight really low

marcus bondi is my calisthenics hero, dude's in his 50s and still setting records

Last Wednesday, a guy stopped me because he said he was worried about how bad my squat form was and I said "I know it looks awkward but it's fine because I'm switching from high-bar to low-bar and lifting at 33% of my max while I get used to the new form" and he asked me what low-bar/high-bar is while eyeing me suspiciously.

high-bar fo life but i don't do a great deal of squat work, i do like the hack squat machine, find it easier on my shoulders/body

Blink is $28 for any gym in Manhattan and outer boroughs. It's affordable, just not for people who want to lift weights
