this is a pretty accurate break down of achewood, and may have increased my enjoyment of it.

that sort of hyperbole is neurotic.
I reduced the temples of Elam to naught; their gods and goddesses I scattered to the winds. The tombs of their ancient and recent kings I devastated, I exposed to the sun, and I carried away their bones toward the land of Ashur.

none of that is horrific, and some of them are ok. i liked the xkcd about the hadron collider giving a helicopter cancer. its leagues better than QC, or Cyanide and Happiness.

what XKCD did in that last comic isn't an example of a strawman argument.

i'll admit it is a little smug, though.

what argument is the author misrepresenting?

also xkcd is bad but qc is more offensive because of what it pretends to be / the author of xkcd does not seem nearly as deluded

yeah, the xkcd guy might come off as self-satisfied in person, but i'll bet this jeph jacques character comes off self-important, and there's nothing worse than a complete moron who thinks he's doing god's work

i base this on nothing other than the contempt in my heart

there exist funny xkcd strips

and it wins points for being nerd humor that (so far as I'm aware) doesn't constantly use 'win' and 'fail' in the stupid ways nerds do.

if this last point is wrong i withdraw my defense.
at the same time, when i first heard this song in the 4th grade, i couldn't stop thinking of death and the release of the human soul from the body....flying through the air and darkness!!!...

Clicked the random comic button three times and got this.

XKCD's strips about his girlfriend ditching him are some cringeworthy nice-guy shit but I think QC is still slightly worse. If I saw someone in an XKCD shirt I'd think they were a huge nerd but wouldn't necessarily wish them physical harm. A QC shirt would possibly trigger some primitive instinct to smash them with a jagged stone because they've revealed themself as the runt of the tribe and will slow us down when we try to follow the mammoth herds.
It is mating season for the pterosaurs, and this well-endowed male wants YOU to fly with him.

There will be some kind of QC, where, in a sea of awkwardly drawn girls with horribly drawn hands, the cast will be enjoying the quaint and oh so precocious cover styling of Pomplamoose live in some imaginary bar.

And Wheeljack will explode, taking out a good chunk of whatever European country the dude hails from.

a cute girl at my school has a "she blinded me with library science" tote bag. another guy, a 6' 5" former marine, has a "she blinded me with library science" t-shirt.
