Sounds like a 2A High School football match-up

Anyone coming to Auburn for the game this weekend?

Also, I just want to post this, as it was ridiculed when i first posted it:

alabama is great but not undefeated in the regular season for the third straight season great. this is one of maybe 2-3 more losable games for them this year (I'm counting Auburn and LSU). if they beat florida, they will lose at USC next week.

Interesting storylines this week:

1) How will Washington State play this week after losing their collective weed guy?
2) Can USC beat Kentucky on the road this weekend or did Spurrier already shit his boner Saturday afternoon?
3) How many TDs will Joe Adams score in the first half this week?
4) Does anyone expect OSU to win their game against Wisconsin? Are the top 3 teams next week seriously going to be Oregon, BSU and TCU?
5) Will Saban put Julio Jones on medical redshirt or will he just take him behind Bryant Denny and shoot him in the back of the head if UA loses Saturday night?
6) Who is going to really embarrass themselves this week, besides Iowa and Miami
7) Can Illinois be stopped?
8) Can Paul Rhoads pull one out of his ass tihs weekend? That would be nice.

kentucky has never beaten spurrier no matter where he has been the coach, so no, i don't expect kentucky to win, but i think it'll be a hell of a game...we'll probably start hot, give up a few td's and piss all the fans off, then storm back only to fall short because of defensive woes. classic uk football script.

on a side note, i got a sweet souvenir cup from the kentucky/ole miss game a couple weeks back that has a star wars-esque "welcome to the rebelution" logo...i wonder what the bear merch will look like.

This is an interesting game that needs more hype. The controller of the Big 12 vs. the guy who's taking off next year.

And despite the UCLA blowout, Texas is always dangerous.

have to be in a wedding in nashville that starts around the time auburn/arkansas will be in the 4th quarter. going to have to find a way to sneak looks at my phone during the ceremony.

does this cbs sports iphone app really stream live video of the game like it says?

Cam Newton volunteers on Mondays at the school my mom teaches at. She said that last week, one of the meanest first graders in the school, Demetrius, wouldn't stop crying the rest of the day after he left.

They finally took him to the vice principal to see if he could find out what was wrong...I'VE BEEN LYIN TO CAM TELLIN HIM I'M A GOOD KID. I TOLD HIM I HELPED SARAH WITH HER WORK!

now he gets to see Cam again but has to tell him he's been lying. This guy has never shown remorse for anything before but apparently he's been great all week. Cam making a difference.

I deleted mine because i'm a bit worried about the game and don't usually comment beforehand.

so pinkerton, why'd you delete your post saying it would get ugly for Arkansas?

I was just going to comment how odd it was you had such confidence considering Auburn's coming off a game where they just barely eked out a win over Kentucky, and Auburn, so far, has a really poor pass defense

Ohio State-Badgers in this type of scenario (night at Camp Randall with OSU top-ranked) is usually pretty good as far as Big Ten slugfests go, but I still think Wisco loses this one. :(

it's not really confidence, it is excitement. auburn can easily win this game, and they could also easily get blown out. i will be there to watch mallett/newton/petrino/malzahn meltdown in person, can't wait. i haven't been this excited to go to a game since 07 and 09 alabama.

here's an article from today that talks about cam volunteering at my old elementary school, i know it'll probably be mocked but he's a good guy

re: auburn

this always felt like the game of the season. it was very possible they could make it this far but i've never felt like they could win it. happy to be proven wrong. been waiting for someone to really go after the secondary and mallett always seemed like the man for the job.

yeah, the top of the heap in a terrible conference against an unranked Texas. it's interesting, but not because it's supposed to be a good game. people want to know if Nebraska is actually good and if Texas is actually shitty, which hasn't happened in like a decade.

SEC will still bring quality games this week.
