can we make it scrabble

and did you know that microwaved poptarts get a little chewy rather than crisp--it's pleasant in its own way

mcwop, i lived with one of my really good friends (and by extension, his girl) for two years and they were the absolute worst. spent every waking minute locked up in his room, barely ever went out during the week and were only good for one night a weekend. even then they would only spend two hours out of the house before heading back.

obviously that is the extreme version of what youre talking about, but as a bro losing a bro it was pretty sad for the first six months or so and then i was like fuck this kid

i think its totally acceptable to turn down the weekday bar night invitations. its also acceptable to say "hey friday night we are going out to dinner but afterwards we'll meet you guys out for a couple drinks". its just about the effort. like nkoz said, nothing wrong with making the weekends your nights out but just make sure you put in the effort to get out with your boys

as far as fruit pop tarts are concerned i think i prefer microwaved to toasted

maybe its just because i temped at a place that only had awful blueberry pop tarts in the vending machine and didnt have a toaster oven, and that pop tart was like the only good thing that ever happened in my day before 11 am

also, mcwop, what you could try doing is inviting your friends out constantly, but only to things that you know they dont want to do

my friend lives all the way across town, and while i like his wife, she has turned him into a wet blanket and early bedtime person. anyway, he is constantly inviting me to come out to bars in his neighborhood (20 dollar cab ride, impossible to take public transportation). he never ever comes out and hangs out with me or my boys in any of our neighborhoods, but yet we still feel slightly guilty that we never go visit him. its a bold move but it kind of works

i'm really trying to convey that it's not a choice

i can't just "roll over"

when i'm up, i'm up

i mean i can just be limp for awhile, but i'd rather get up and do something

this only works if I'm woken up by something, like say an alarm or a person. if I wake up naturally there's no falling back asleep.
