comedy podcast thread

Jesus christ you have to be kidding me.

Postby badhat » Tue Nov 22, 2011 6:20 pm

we dont talk about it much but nerdist has been solid lately too.

i thought there was some really good unintentional comedy in the contrast between nerdit's on-air proposal attempt and marons.

its never wall-to-wall hilarity but its always fun.

the whole story about matt and jonah's 4th of july party text message fiasco was hilairous

wait, why would aukerman have margaret cho on his show if he hates her? I assume he chooses his guests?

Not sure where else to post it but Andrew Dice Clay & Patton Oswalt were both on Raising Hope last night. Really bizzare episode, Dice Clay is looking pretty rough.

That Bob Lefsetz guy seems unbearable. Maron handled him really well.

does either have any decent content?

CBB, Who Charted, Bob Ducca, every Earwolf Presents so far, the Sklars, Glitter in the Garbage is odd but I've heard great stuff on it, Improv4Humans is the best thing going...Totally Laime isn't my favorite but I see how there's an audience for it, so it's mostly The Apple Sisters and Professor Blastoff that suck.

Nerdist, Thrilling Adventure Hour, You Made It Weird, Sex Nerd Sanda is hit or miss but I like to see that kind of thing getting out there as much as possible, The Nerdist Writers Panel is an awesome thing for a niche audience and The Todd Glass Show is the best thing going...Episode 2 of Big Pop Fun was a Big Pop Drag and I didn't go back, Riki Lindholme is whatever, Pop My Culture see: Totally Laime, I like Kumail Nanjiani but not video games and 9 year olds are 9.

I don't know how you guys aren't familiar with Eddie Pepitone I feel like he's on podcasts all the time. Listen to The Long Shot Podcast it's cool.

Grandma's Virginity if it ever comes back.

been listening to a bunch of how did this get made and I think it's my new DLM. Jason Manzoukis (sp?) is the funniest dude. I've listened to the CBB him and Andy Daly were on like 10 times.

Chip, can you shut it for a minute?

how did this get made is the only earwolf show i listen to regularly. paul is kinda a shitty host (though has improved a lot since they started) but jason is the reason to keep listening. its really great when they get people who were actually involved with the movie they are talking about.

I've only listened to 2 so far but I thought they were pretty good. I listened to the one about "I Know Who Killed Me" and "Leprechaun in the Hood" I guess the only thing is that each one could probably be 20 min instead of 50 but then it wouldn't take me through my workout. anyway

who is xeni jardin?

my personal recommendation is to ignore the first episode and start with the second one

first ep is mostly them just talking about boring shit/figuring the format out so it's pretty dry

i've liked how did this get made when i've listened to it, though sometimes it can be hard to follow along if you haven't seen the movie they're discussing

i don't really feel like watching battlefield earth just so i can listen to a podcast

The Todd Glass podcast is always like 2 1/2 hours long and hilarious from start to finish. I don't know how he does it.
