the band story is also a written piece on his blog from a few years ago.

i honestly thought the written one was even funnier than the bit.

listened to the wtf interview with the shins dude yesterday cause i needed something to listen to at work. pretty boring and it's always embarrassing listening to maron talk shop with musicians. the guy sounds like a nice enough guy, though.

i think my two least favorite things about maron are when he talks to woman about sex related stuff and when someone else mentions sort culty music or films or books and he absolutely refuses to acknowledge the he hasnt heard of something, he insists on faking like he knows what theyre talking about even when its obvious he doesnt. dude, youre 50 years old. jsut admit you havent heard of shit and ask questions.

his weird obsession with lorne michaels is hilarious though.

"Freeway" Ricky Ross is on Rogan's podcast talking shit about Rick Ross, this is pretty great. Also claims to have made $600 million in a couple years selling crack in L.A.

Just finished listening to the Zmuda episode. So happy that that was on when I had to go in early for work. Marc was trying so hard to get him to admit that Kaufman is still alive

I think I've mentioned it a few times, but I've been really enjoying You Made it Weird. Like WTF with less pathos (for good and bad) and much shorter intros. He's clearly a huge fan of WTF, but has his own spin on it.

I like it too. Though he ran out of new things to say awhile ago. The Nikki Glaser one was a delight. Lazer accuracy.

Zmuda on Maron was exhausting, but pretty worthwhile for the few nuggets that weren't in Man on The Moon.

I couldn't hear a lot of what Zmuda said (well, not that much but it was annoying to have to keep turning the volume up), but man it was entertaining.

I think Maron was in the same boat, he seemed to waver between believing to giving the benefit of the doubt to not believing at all from the tone of his "uh huh"s and his comments

it was a little exhausting, its a good thing he doesn't hit the 2 hour mark often

I was glad Maron was at least into the Kaufman mythology; if he had been combative or too probing it would've been a much more tedious interview.
