what does everyone think of the CBB tv show so far?
I think it's starting to hit a good stride, loved El Chupacabra and Cake Boss
anyone know their ratings so far? I'd assume the bar is pretty low at IFC to get renewed and it's definitely going to have better legs than Portlandia which is way past stale at this point

I didn't likeEl Chupacabra but the handing over of the direction to the film student bit killed me. "Give Jon a hat. Now two black hats. Now gimme hat cam". And Don Dimello in the second episode was as excellent as always.

this is not podcast-related but as far as i know we don't have a running comedy thread elsewhere.... saw the joe mande CC special this morning and was super disappointed. i remember having warm feelings towards him, but holy shit. no cleverness at all, super smug/self-satisfied, and i dunno that anyone ever tweeted a tweet so tweetable that it merits being RTold at your tv comedy special.

sorry

I saw him open for Mulaney a year ago. I remember being bummed out at how unfunny it was too. The dude can be funny just not on his own.

OMG FARTS AND PROCREATION P2

can't even begin to describe how excited I was to see Adam, Harris, and Chelsea on the list for CBB this week. Basically turned my awful Monday morning completely around.

I don't think twitter is a really good outlet for comedians. It's obviously great exposure, but you probably blow so many jokes using it. Or like you tell a joke you're working on and it's half made and you're thinking about it, but you get it all done and tell it at a show and they are like "Heard that one already :P 8-) "

JB Smoove interview seems to be just him doing bits

Maron isn't getting too many questions in, kinda disappointing since I was hoping to hear more about JB's career

I liked JB Smoove interview a lot, and Farts + Procreation pt. 2

I hope this sticks around for a while at AV Club (could think of no better place to put it than this thread) - comedians sharing their stories of bombing. Animated.
