any of you guys going to this? I'm going to the show on Monday night in Boston... guess he's flying across country

I went to the show in Chicago on Monday, Matt Besser did a new character, who was him talking in his regular voice as Michael Phelps and they have a wheel they spin with all James Adomian's characters on in and we got Gary Busey, it was pretty great
Adomian's 10-15 mins of stand up he did might have been the best section of the show tho

Scott twisted his ankle running down the middle isle in the beginning of the show and was in a walking boot the next day
I'd like to hear the Seattle show with PFT doing Warner Herzog and Adomian doing Dov Charney

I went to the Seattle show last night, it was pretty good. I agree that Adomian's set was probably the best thing overall but everyone put in a good show. PFT did his usual stream of consciousness, plate-spinning ramble on about bricks and science or something and I wasn't really feeling it, but the Herzog/Charney Would You Rather? made up for it.

Kurt Braunohler gave Scott a little cake with a 3-4 in. candy cock stuck in the top to commemorate his first night touring with what he called the Cockity Bang! Bang! show, and Aukerman pulled it out with his mouth and then licked off the chocolate and threw the cock into the wings, sidestage. When James came out dressed as Charney, he had a silk bathrobe, warm-up pants with one leg rolled up, a fuzzy bear hat and safety goggles on top. At some point, he let his bathrobe fall open and he had the purple head of the candy cock sticking out of his waistband and he proceeded to massage and caress it until the head broke off.

I thought that Reggie might be there, seeing as he's from Seattle and all, but that didn't happen. :x
It’s gotten better. I’ve had several long-term relationships, read some Foucault and even had a chance to experiment a bit with kinkier sex.

Matt Graham's new show is going to bomb and then he's going to hate himself even more and Maron is going to keep reassuring him that he's doing the right thing on his show.

Did you read about her set this past Friday? She revealed she's been diagnosed with breast cancer in both breasts. Crazy, terrible stuff.

Apparently the set she did explaining this whole turn of events was amazing.

Does anyone listen to The Flop House these days?

http://www.flophousepodcast.com/

I caught up with the past few months' worth of episodes this past week, and i still enjoy it a lot, the "A Thousand Words" and "Atlas Shrugged" episodes were especially good.. i think they're all colbert report and daily show writers, and this is the podcast that How Did This Get Made stole their idea and format from.

saw Marc Maron when he was here over the weekend, he killed on the first night and tweeted on Saturday that he might have had his best run of sets in his life, he really was great
I'm still amazed how much he earnestly appreciates his fans, he ran his own merch table right after he got off the stage

as for Ryan Stout on today's WTF, he bored the shit out of me, but there was a rare appearance from Boomer in the end that made me go :D

Where is more stuff like this clip I listened to where Matt Walsh calls in to promote Old School but exaggerates the size of his role in the movie and Jon Benjamin calls in to ask why he's doing this (both embellishing his celebrity and then the whole bit all together which in turn is also a bit) and it's this slowburning beautifully executed thing because Tom lets Walsh talk about Old School for probably around a half hour before the opposing calls come in and you get what's going on. I've been thinking about the many layers to this since

I found it on Best Show Gems and now crave more long situational setups

went to the Boston show last night and we got the Sheriff of Nottingham which was hysterical.

Braunohler, Adomian, and Heidecker all had real funny 10-15 min sets. Really great time, highly recommended

went to cbb last night in nyc. it was pretty funny. liked the format...basically 2 short stand up acts (braunohler & heidecker) and also, before tim came on scott did this thing where he appointed an audience member to be the fire marshall in case of an emergency, brought him on stage and did some role playing with him that involved trivia, karaoke and some other shenanigans.

on the podcast part adomian did jesse the body which was great, and then they had bobby moynihan come on and he did that furvel character from that episode where sir andrew lloyd weber was going to adopt. pretty great stuff.

I'm really enjoying richard herring's leicester square theatre and edinburgh festival podcasts. he's kind of a cult(ish) english comedian, bit rude, very silly. Simple format, he just has guest/guests each podcast and they talk for an hour. (in the edinburgh podcasts there's also ten minutes or so of stand-up from another comedian)

best eps/most accesible i've heard so far are:
Armando Iannucci & Graham Linehan
http://www.comedy.co.uk/podcasts/richard_herring_lst_podcast/

Mick Foley
http://www.comedy.co.uk/podcasts/richard_herring_edinburgh/2012_07_mick_foley_gavin_webster/

Charlie Brooker
http://www.comedy.co.uk/podcasts/richard_herring_lst_podcast/episode_5_charlie_brooker/
keep it simple and to the point

Just caught up with the last few Prof Blastoff and something about Tig's disposition to the whole scenario make me feel more secure for her own outcome.

Edit: Thanks for the up of Tig's album in that other thread, del. Much appreciated.

yeah hes awesome.

not really at all what i was expecting.

funny that hes a north carolina school of the arts theatre kid. when i was in chicago that town was crawling with NCSA theatre grads. and hes my year so i think was in chicago at the same time, and even talked about steppenwolf on that ep. i'm sure we were runnin in the same circles for a while there. weird.

Just heard of Kevin Pollak's Chat Show. It's too bad that Kevin Pollak is sort of a shitty interviewer/person, because he has a great list of guests. Like he has a 2 hour interview with Christopher Guest that is interesting when Kevin Pollak isn't aggrivating Guest by not listening and making fun of Andre the Giant

It's pretty consistent, but as always every PFT/Adam Scott/Harris Wittels episode is stellar.
