comedy podcast thread

Jesus christ you have to be kidding me.

becoming a big fitzsimmons fan from his appearances on nerdist and CDR, and his guest hosting of the election wrap-up on carolla's show was fucking hysterical.

WTF got me through the worst job I've ever had.

Does he still bring the "Dr" (who actually is a doctor now I think) on for an on-air session?

i wish i could get into podcasts again like i used to be

i had a 3 month stretch post-grad where i was stuck behind a computer doing mindless programming/data entry 40 hours a week, and could not bear to listen to music after a week.

8 CDR episodes in one day makes for an epic work day.
8 episodes of WTF might make you want to kill yourself, but also might inspire you to quit your job and do something interesting with your life
8 episodes of radiolab will make you really annoying to talk to to you friends for the next few days

when i was working in march i'd do BS Report->Baseball Today->Comedy Death-Ray->Doug Loves Movies->lunch->Best Show->WTF/Radiolab

actually digging bill burr's monday morning podcast a lot lately. it's just solo musings and riffing for the most part but i really like the dude. he did a good one-on-one with greg fitzsimmons recently, love it when the boston guys talk about the scene they came up in vs everywhere else.

Bill Burr is one of those guys that is just naturally funny as hell, between his accent and his attitude and just his way of being. I actually find the podcast way funnier than his last special, even though the latter is polished material and the former is just him talking off the top of his head about whatever strikes him at the moment. Only thing is some of the sports talk gets a bit dull for me since I don't really follow it. The story he told about almost fighting a bunch of dudes in a baseball stadium bathroom recently was awesome though.
What became of her? She lived, as she liked to say, off the kindness of gentlemen. I assume she’s dead.

the Alison Brie nerdist did not help me in wanting to fuck Alison Brie less. I spend too much time wanting to do that.

i just enjoyed carolla on the nerdist so much more than i usually enjoy carollas show.

the most recent carolla with Dr Drew where they went off on some libertarian rant was so annoying...

that wasnt really what i was expecting.

was figuring there'd be bits or something. it was basically like semi-in-character talk-radio about sports and music.

still pretty entertaining i guess. will keep listening.

Norm McDonald is on Greg Fitzsimmon's most recent episode, and he might be the worst podcast guest ever. Sure he's funny, but he mumbles the entire time. It's really hard to hear him.

I reduced the temples of Elam to naught; their gods and goddesses I scattered to the winds. The tombs of their ancient and recent kings I devastated, I exposed to the sun, and I carried away their bones toward the land of Ashur.

hell yes. I also like how every time he mentions adam and eve, he is compelled to tell women listeners it's ok to buy "toys".

I like Maron but his show really hinges on the strength of the guest. Ken Jeong really bored me.
