He doesn't suck, but he's certainly flamed out since Russia 2016

I mean, he's not like Marcus Ericsson levels of awful or anything

^ great damn movie

It rules that there have been a flood of great motorsports documentaries lately. Do you guys realize that one of these days we're going to get an extravagantly produced, Amazon-financed series about McLaren's 2017 season?? Should be wild.

had no idea this will be the last GP in Malaysia. Probably my favorite track. I will miss it.

Pretty pissed that I wasn't able to go to the Singapore or Malaysian GPs during my year in SE Asia.

Yeah, Sepang's going to be a big loss for Liberty

They're staying on the MotoGP calendar, but I guess the proximity to Singapore just meant that no one went to their race

Maybe Chase Carey's moustache can get them back in a couple years

Seb v Danny Ric was enjoyable, and Seb losing his wheel is so wonderfully bananas, I can't even

So glad to see my boy chalk up a W this season

Whoa, F1 rights in the US going to ESPN starting next year. Not sure what to expect from that.

I generally like the NBCSN crew but I've also come to dislike the overall product. The commercials are unavoidable, but I wish they wouldn't make their commentary so remedial. They say the same things every race, spend so much time explaining the basics over and over again, and don't offer much insight into what the drivers and teams are doing. F1 races can often be same-y but I'm always surprised at how much I've missed when I read James Allen recaps, and at how much less I've missed when I watch the Sky broadcasts instead and get better commentary. I don't know if ESPN will be better in this regard, but I'm ready for something different.

Also only sending two people to each race is woefully inadequate. Most of their pre-race and post-race coverage is a complete waste except for the few minutes Buxton can contribute that aren't simply capturing a driver giving a quick media statement to a mass of reporters. Maybe ESPN will be able to get get more access to the drivers and teams for real interviews.

unreal lap

I had no idea Niki Lauda operated an airline and that one of its aircraft experienced a devastating crash.

Having recently simulated this in the Formula Hybrid on the Codies' version of this track, I yelled "what!?!" at least four times watching this

for some reason I thought this started at 1AM, not 11pm. Guess I'll be able to skip through the commercials now and catch up. whoops.
