I had been eyeing this Post O’alls Royal Traveler vest in “southern” chambray to wear year round here in the South. This will be my fourth Post O’alls piece and I have nothing but amazing things to say about what Takeshi is doing with Post.

Can grip one for 1650 shipped "near mint" on ebay. Really tempted but yea it seems inflated. So hard to find good gear online

it was too much of a hassle for me to get a sound out, slowed down work flow. im lazy and id prefer presets and patches rather than working for a while to build a cool sound. though you can stack some vicious sounding saws with it, really badass. not worth tying up nearly two grand for that in my case though. might be totally different for you.

any of you guys own hardware sequencers?

i have the future retro revolution but hate dialing in notes by clicking through menus (love the synth in it though), that Doepfer Dark Time looks tempting...

The hss3i is basically what all of my homemade synths sound like. No video, though. Honestly have no idea how to handle that outside of a microcontroller.

got a basic electronics book (can't remember the name, but it's basically the premiere intro book and is hand-written. it's weird)

tinkered a bit. could make sound generators. hit a stopping point.

took a class at the community college.

kept reading.

It's not going to take you too far as a hobby, you'd need to specialize in it. I haven't played anything live in almost two years but I used to take this stuff live and it was generally reliable and usable. I've made one synth with keys (basically gutted a $5 goodwill casio).

I'm pretty ambitious about this stuff but I've been doing it for like 5 years and still am fairly limited. I also still won't play with higher voltages so I can't make anything really portable for fear of killing myself or starting a fire.
