200s to BK.
my wife commutes to white plains though, so we had to try & do something equi-distant.
so our commutes wind up being hellish. at least we can read.

planning on possibly moving once our lease is up though.

my commute recently improved when the theatre that was playing shrek the musical took down all their terrifying posters of people dressed and made-up like CGI characters

yeah it can be. some days it winds up being amazingly smooth though. i teach, so my schedule is pretty alright. late-ish mornings, early evenings. i'm usually home by 6 or 7.

i've had to go out to queens on a semi-regular basis. & amazingly, the 7 is f'ing cake. we've been talking about moving out to sunnyside.
15 minutes into grand central, & from there both of our commutes will be about 20-30 minutes less, total.

anyone live out that way?

whoa yin that is awesome.

my main complaint about my commute is that living on the G forces me to transfer at least once to get into the city -- either to the L (packed in the mornings) or the A/C (not too bad but forces me to go all the way up Manhattan from the bottom). My commute's never longer than an hour.

it's a long commute to anywhere else, especially when the majority of our friends live in brooklyn.
but don't get me wrong though, inwood's nice. lots of parks. awesome wine store. pretty chill up here overall. rent is also really reasonable. lots of space.

what about going a bit further up on the G and transferring to the E? not sure where you're going, though

I've been living in LIC for over two years and am still really happy there. Easy commute (work down by Wall Street) and really easy to go to Greenpoint/Williamsburg on the weekends, or Manhattan.

this isn't a "slice" place, but try the spinach pie (the popeye) at a place called co. in chelsea:

everything on their menu is unbelievable

we had a long talk about moving out to sunnyside/woodside the other day cause i've been talking about how nice the commute is when i have to go out there. rent's pretty affordable as well, right? space?

our last place was in east harlem & we've got twice as much space now for only a little bit more.
