Official Ongoing Football/Soccer 2011/2012

Jesus christ you have to be kidding me.

Gylfi Sigurdsson wrote:I have said that my desire is to continue playing in the Premier League and Liverpool is completely considered.

"Liverpool is a big club that has a glorious history. The English Premier League is the platform that I want to be on and hopefully I continue to play in that division.

"I expect not to stay at Swansea as the uncertainty going on there and it is not clear who is the boss.

:D :D :D

Also Lille have said they've been told Joe Cole will be returning to Anfield, it'll be interesting to see how that pans out. Rodgers seems keen on getting Aquilani back as well.

That's pretty much my worse nightmare. But a 100m investment, new facilities etc. is hard to turn down, especially when you're losing 1m a month.

I hope this is actually happening, both would fit the Conte style very well. I think Asamoah was being touted as OFFICIAL yesterday but will have to wait....Pogba transfer a bit weird considering we already have guys like Marrone and Gabriel Appelt about to break into the first team. If these moves happen, we only need a CB and a Cavani...

Keeping blue as the away colour seems like such a needless fuck you to the supporters though. And the whole 'fire and passion' banner is fucking awful :(

Even if they had that as an 'away' badge it would've been less offensive, but changing it outright is fucking atrocious. This kind of shit really fucking pisses me off, and god forbid it ever happens to a club I actually support.

if it's true that we just secured the co-ownerships of two talented 23 year-olds who have already played with one another in Italy (and in the case of Isla, played with Vidal for Chile) for €15m, I'm gonna kiss Marotta right on his bald head

Pirlo, Marchisio, Vidal, Asamoah, Isla, Marrone (and maybe Pogba and/or Verratti?) is a hell of a central midfield, and Isla can cover other positions too

“I can not tell if I am close to Juventus, Udinese are working with Juventus as well as Inter and Roma. However, knowing how I feels about my club (Udinese) I think I’ll go to the club that will offer the most. Decision will be the next month, because we are still very far away from the beginning of next season.”

I'm not even sure i want him. Taking this with a pinch of salt though obviously

LUKA MODRIC is on his way to Manchester United.

Boss Alex Ferguson has offered Tottenham a £25million fee, rising to £30m based on appearances and success.

Modric, 26, will be handed a four-year deal worth £26m.

His wages of £125,000 a week will put him among the big earners at Old Trafford.

Modric has kept up to date with talks while at Euro 2012 with Croatia and will seal the move on his return.

Spurs held off interest from Chelsea to hold on to the midfielder last year.

The Croatian said he had no intention of quitting Spurs having signed a six-year deal in May 2010.

United boss Fergie signed Japanese star Shinji Kagawa this week and wants Newcastle’s Cheick Tiote and Everton left-back Leighton Baines — but refuses to match the £20m valuations on each.

They're gonna get Lewy from Dortmund too. United are getting all the players I like this summer. :|

I mean, everyone is always reloading at striker, but I don't really think United need Lewy. He's the same age as Hernandez, Rooney is Rooney, and Welbeck is coming along pretty well. Buying a 23 year old as a 4th striking option seems a bit odd and probably not Fergie's style. But I mean, neither is buying world class midfielders.

if you believe the reports we pretty much have Angelo Henriquez from Universidad de Chile in the bag, which would make much more sense.
