37 minutes with the win secured was definitely too much, but I'm not gonna hang Thibs over this. Rose needed a long rest only an offseason can provide before this game. Hopefully he won't need surgery.

yeah, to play devil's advocate for Thibs, it was a new injury and not a re-injury, and I don't think you can coach in the playoffs worrying about new injuries possibly happening, I'm going to assume Rose was out there for easy minutes to get his rhythm back/knock the rust off, it's basically just more bad luck for D Rose

every injury rose has had this year has been a "new injury." you're up 14, rose had 24 pts or whatever, get him the fuck out of there and live to play the next game. there's no reason to have him there especially given his recent history of these injuries

Looking beyond this particular injury and these particular playoffs, I hope Rose isn't one of those guys whose body just turns on him and he's never the same. It's hard to ignore how immediate and severe the onset of this decline has been. A deep run in these playoffs if he does continue to play may be the worst thing for him.
