Also, I don't know if it's been mentioned in the thread (didn't show up in search) but Indicator in the UK is set to release a blu-ray of Antonioni's The Passenger on March 18 and it will reportedly be all-region. Word is it may be the same HD master that was prepared by Sony back in 2006 for the theatrical/DVD rerelease, so it's possible we'll see a better 4K scan from Criterion or somebody later on, but still.

Already preordered it, but as long as it doesn't have the green tint the DVD had, I'll be content.

Oh no, that's awful news. His body of work is incredible, like in any giving setting he's able to use his camera to find the most intricate and gorgeous details and hone in on them. These little details always dance within the frame.

Bingo, I was always under the impression that you knew Clipson personally, very sorry for your loss.

Really wish I went to go see the projections he did with Liz Harris a couple of summers ago.

God, I'm so sorry to hear about this, and I hope you're ok. I hadn't been aware of his work until you introduced me to it just a couple of weeks ago, and clearly he made extraordinarily beautiful films. Really sorry for your loss, Bingo.

new game: Donald Trump or Michael Haneke

He went on to add that the “thoughtless rage” manifested has “destroyed lives even with a lack of evidence to back up the accusations.” He then took it a step further by condemning the media which he claims have “murdered lives and careers in the process.”

I wish Happy End was even a little bit as polemical and angry as Haneke appears to be
