I think the question was about minimizing grain, not synthesizing it? if you’re *going for* grainy just use a high iso and slam the aperture shut.

and a couple more from northern bc. i definitely overproduced the first two but tried again and again and couldn't figure out how i'd like to balance the colours. out of the camera they came kind of washed out, but when i was tweaking the settings in LR i couldn't find a good intermediate state. oh well, they'll be good for instagram

How was your experience flying with gear? Did you have to pull everything out?

I have a friend who does freelancing as her main gig, and she was telling me about the new TSA guidelines. I have an appointment to get approved for TSA Precheck status, so hopefully that will make the process not a pain in the ass, but figured I'd ask you about it since you just flew.

the camera gear was not a problem at all. a6000, two additional lenses, batteries/cards. I was also flying with my synth and accessories which is always a stop n swab.

Lightroom CC is pretty simple and automatically syncs to the mobile app which is nice. I still use LR Classic for serious editing, but I've taken to a combination of the LR app, VSCO, and Snapseed for like social media posts and have been enjoying it quite a bit.

I should probably get back into using my camera(s), but for some reason I haven't wanted to since I got to Vietnam. Phone is just doing it for me right now.
