hey i'm still using LR 5 or whatever, from 2014 or something. like the stand alone copy.

how much better is the performance if i up to the subscription model?

Any of you guys using the version of LR on like an iPad? I’m thinking I may be more likely to actually edit if I don’t have to attach myself to a desktop. Like are we at the point where, barring the need for intense PS editing or something, I can just WiFi my files from the camera to a tablet, edit and upload? And maybe just have that shit on the cloud moving forward?

The thought of more desktop time and hard drive upgrades and backups and shit just makes me yawn.

I edit primarily in camera and on my phone using LR and PS mobile and unless you're printing or publishing I can't imagine it not being sufficient. Even for those purposes you'd probably be fine if you didn't want to view the image on a larger display first
