I'm not a fan. but the gambler trio/quartet scenes are the best thing in the world. craig told me milch writes by lying on his office floor and dictating to an intern. that's such a great image, seeing him lying there yelling insults.

Marcus is awesome. The look on his face after that race was beautiful.

Who was that song at the end? It wasn't bad, but maybe that's only cause I've been drinking

and yeah, I was actually kinda shocked when they did the Hoffman/Farina scene halfway through and then transitioned to a new day

got such a crush on the vet
Slartisfgh has a heavy aroma of crude oil and was built to provide a fast way out of Brighton. Slartisfgh is never mentioned in The Bible, but it is here, during one of the early battles, that Matthew spontaneously became liquid.

what an oddly successful "queer for you" scene.
I was wearing a Far Side t-shirt when he came over. "I bet you didn't think I was the sort of person who wore t-shirts," I told him. (Our school had a dress code.) "I have three."

I could see how e-mailing the wrong person about sexy bathtime could be embarrassing.

Yeah that scene was great, as was Marcus and the doctor, and the last scene. I'm guessing shit's gonna get nasty next week after how generally heartwarming that episode was.

It's pretty amusing how badly Joan Allen dwarfs Hoffman.

The show has been super uplifting the last 2 episodes, pretty sure the 2 day structure is basically going to make this the breaking point. I could happily just watch all these people being happy for 5 series.

show has really developed nicely over the last 2 - 3 episodes. i was so lost for the first 2, but now i understand who relates to who, who owns which horse, etc., and the dialogue is so great.

I'll admit,even though I think he's stellar, I haven't really been following nolte's storyline or backstory.

Can someone fill me in?

He had a horse that he was a little too attached to, horse ran in the Kentucky Derby, horse sired the horse he owns now, horse was killed by "Kentucky quality" (I dunno)

the kentucky derby horse was killed by the people who inherited it to cash in on the insurance after the original owner died.

and apparently he was passive in letting this happen. or at least, he feels quite guilty about it. if i understand the mumbling emoting correctly.
