i've got a pair of sr80i's going right now, and i agree with Boo that they're not comfortable for any real length of time, but there's plenty of support out there to 'mod' them to make them more comfortable. with the low-end grados it's just the drivers you want anyway, everything else is crap. cheap plastic, cheap cabling joints, cheap foam, cheap headstrap, but the drivers are meticulously picked. they're too bright for a lot of people, though, and if your music pool is bass heavy they wont do you much good. plus a lot of weak mp3 players (all apple phones/pods fall into this category) don't have the power to really push the drivers, so i recommend picking up a cheap amp if you get a pair of grados. my pair's stage opened right up after i bought this cheap little nothing:
