I found a listing for an unpaid internship once that said they were only interested in applicants with phds.

That was a real eye-opener.

just applied for a job here in Austin at the same company my friend works at, and the job seems pretty ideal. He recommended the job to me to keep me here in texas, and they love him there so hopefully his recommendation goes a long way. FINGERS CROSSED.

So my girlfriend interviewed for a job on Monday and is waiting to hear back. Yesterday they posted an opening for the same position but in a different department at the same place. The language in the job descriptions is practically identical. Should she apply for that job now, or wait until she hears about the position she interviewed for?

I hate that when I'm nervous I talk really fast and I can't remember if I'm repeating myself and I fumbled over one word but hopefully I didn't sound like to much of an ass. Hooray!

Shut up! I guess it's more of a casual mixer so that the staff can get to know me and talk to me about the job and find out if I'm a good fit with them personality wise, there will be alcohol there and I think that's a trap.

I love when I'm interviewing for something and they do something like ask me "how are you" twice in a row in the beginning. I'm like "they're nervous to interview me!"

I got lucky recently and landed a job where I essentially just produce and send out spam email/fax flyers. About 7 or 8 per day. Probably the most mind-numbing job I've ever had, but hey. Sorry if any of you guys get them and are pissed off. Every day I send to about 30,000 people.
