Let's talk Aguachile Alley

i think a choke is easier for not tapping, i mean, that arm break could ruin a career.

dream is a joke. i don't understand how they or strikeforce are okay with overeem just floating between organizations. they're never going to get good name recognition or popularity with him doing that. he's not fighting fedor until may or june because of K-1? cmon

Overeem fighting in all those organizations probably has a lot more to do with what Overeem wants to do rather than dream or strikeforce stopping him. I'm going to take a wild guess that k1 also pays a lot better considering its much more popular in Japan. If I'm Overeem I'd prefer fighting in k1 anyways since he doesn't have to worry about takedowns or submissions.

You guys do realize the guy couldn't tap in the position he was in, right? Both arms were locked. He could have verbally submitted and I'm wondering if he did before his arm snapped. The ref should have been in there earlier.

few reports about suggestioning UFC have signed Gomi to a multi-fight deal, but no official word yet. guess we might hear something on the ppv tonight perhaps?

Just read somewhere Gomi vs. Kenny Florian - winner gets a title shot.

taht fight makes no sense

1) gomi is terrible and has no chance
2) nobody wants to see florian/penn
(3) nobody wants to see gomi/penn again either)

It makes no sense to me either. I really don't see the sense in signing Gomi to begin with. I don't think any one of the main lightweights would have too much trouble with him.

20 big ones on yvel, if only because i can win 55. not so sure he's gonna do it, dos santos is pretty solid. but yvel could potentially brutalize him.

all i'm saying is strikeforce is letting overeem be their heavyweight champion, yet he's going to fight in the organization just once a year? they already shit on themselves with the fedor co-promotion bullshit. if the UFC has one thing figured out, it's that they can't take shit from single fighters or they'll sink. mousasi, overeem, aoki, fedor, whoever strikeforce ends up getting--these guys won't become popular in the US until they fight with some regularity in a single organization and not just move around paycheck to paycheck.

i crushed the sports books for this ufc

lost lots of money at poker today so i arbed out most of my exposure. arbing out = u place a bet and later the odds shift so much that u can bet the other side and have nothing at risk

280 to win 250 on daley
256 to win 80 on dos santos
150 to win 280 on silva
160 freeroll on kampmann
120 freeroll on ellenberger
30 freeroll on oliveria

kinda regret the daley bet o well

i made that bet high, after watching a video of yvel's knockouts. i don't totally regret it, since i was only betting on the chance... but yeah. my gut tells me dos santos.

On some bets you're putting down a present value that will give you a smaller future value.... doesn't add up.

256 to win 80 means if i win i profit 80 and if i lose i lose 256. i get back 256+80 if i win

what a great night of fights. so many subs and KOs. joe lauzon vs sam stout was amazingly fun to watch, especially.

i felt so, so bad for mclovin though. i really wanted him to win, but i just had this bad feeling and it turned out my gut was right. poor kid.

It has been reported by MMAJunkie.com that UFC president Dana White and M1-Global head Vadim Finkelstein rekindled negotiations that could lead to an agreement allowing pound-for-pound legend, Fedor Emelianenko and former DREAM middleweight champion and current Strikeforce light-heavyweight champion, Gegard Mousasi, to compete in the octagon under the UFC banner.

Fight Line

and...

Dana White has said that they should know the status of Brock Lesnar this week. "I think Brock's going to the doctor this week, and we'll know how this thing is going to go - whether it's over," White told MMAJunkie.com. "It could be career-ending for him."

that WEC card looks pretty great, yeah

benson henderson - jamie varner for a title: rooting for henderson--good up-and-comer who hasn't lost in the WEC yet. also with both mike brown and urijah faber on the card, there are going to be exciting fights. fighting as well is mackens semerzier, who is undefeated and a badass with out of the coolest names in MMA

WEC on the 10th and then if i'm not mistaken UFC Fight Night on the following night.

WEC should be the best MMA show of the month, but the show on saturday was far more solid than maybe i was expecting.
