They should fire the author of that article for not knowing the difference between "fewer" and "less."

I'm enjoying it so far, but it can get so damn sanctimonious and eye rollingly self-serving at times

exactly
Slartisfgh has a heavy aroma of crude oil and was built to provide a fast way out of Brighton. Slartisfgh is never mentioned in The Bible, but it is here, during one of the early battles, that Matthew spontaneously became liquid.

This show just reminded me I want a new season of Treme. Where the hell is that?

One of these days I'll get around to sitting down and watching all of Season 2 of Treme

Caught bits and pieces of it and it definitely seemed like an improvement on the first (which I like okay enough)

this takedown of the show (& sorkin) sounds about right.

only saw the first episode so far. it definitely has some good parts to it which will have me continue watching, but i felt pretty bored through a lot of it. i dont usually feel bored while watching tv..

no complaints about the acting, but i agree with someone else who had mentioned that it's just the script where no actors could make it into "great tv."

i cant wait to enjoy tonight's episode and then read in this thread about how it was the worst possible script in the history of the medium.

i was perfectly happy with the first 3 episodes, episode 4 was really pretty terrible. i'll definitely keep watching, though..pretty entertaining if not a remarkable social commentary like we expect from everything nowadays.

I Seinfeld.gif'd when Slumdog punched the monitor because of Rush Limbaugh. This show. I love/hate it so much. Also, I love how loud everyone talks about when they're in that open office space and the rest of the workers are just completely oblivious. It's so cartoonish and over-the-top how they project. You'd think the Scott Pilgrim girl was on a Broadway stage.

Why would a fucking gossip show report on a boring story about an aspiring politician raising his profile on an evening news show? WHY? Fuck me.

how did he not just record his "protection money" conversation with the TMZ chick?

also, on the "terrace" was that the worst fake snow anyone had ever seen?
I was wearing a Far Side t-shirt when he came over. "I bet you didn't think I was the sort of person who wore t-shirts," I told him. (Our school had a dress code.) "I have three."

I could see how e-mailing the wrong person about sexy bathtime could be embarrassing.

Because Jane Fonda is setting up the 'narrative' to get Will fired, which apparently includes forcing a TMZ clone to do a story about a cable news show's producer being reckless in Pakistan

Of course who isn't surprised that Sorkin knows about gossip rags as much as he knows about sketch comedy and news shows.

lol at mackenzie knowing so little about economics after being a producer on a political/news show for so long. she's supposed to be the producer who points will towards important stories but she has no idea what glass-steagall is? because she's an airhead woman i guess.

olivia munn's probably the best thing about this show, if only because so far she's not embroiled in any horrible romantic subplots, so she just shows up every so often to deliver some sarcastic patter.

Because she was being very obscure and only mentioning that she was looking to invest in a restaurant, Dan. C'mon.

Liked this a lot except the random thing with Lisa showing up which was like, wtf.

fyi I like Sorkin, I didn't even mind the first three eps until that Fix You scene which was so bafflingly terrible (and the show hasn't reached Studio 60 levels of bad yet)

This ep wasn't so bad in that it has the amount of stupidity that I can handle from Sorkin. I laughed when the ep shit on that producer for propping up his anchor's 'bravery' to make the story about him while ending the episode with everyone giving Will a giant blowjob for paying a ransom.

I love the device of people coming up to Will right before he's about to go back on the air to share some random piece of gossip advice, which I believe has happened in every episode so far.
