this show is certified retarded

yeah i thought it was okay to start but from the moment claire danes pauses and then says "i think you work for al qaeda" it was nonstop eye-rolling from me.

i'm fine with a show going full retard, but only if they revel in it

I've been watching this as it airs on TV here, but I'm ready to give up. don't understand the love at all

it's too slow to be a guilty pleasure and too corny to be legitimately good

Outside of three well-above average episodes (the pilot, the interrogation episode, the cabin episode) it's a decent network show with tits

Gotta say that even though I was lukewarm on a lot of this show (and then really enjoyed certain episodes) and thought it was fairly consistently silly... I'm pretty excited for a new season.

I think I'm just excited for Patinkin.

Certainly not excited for Danes' crazy face.

I can't imagine watching it week to week but we burned through the whole season in a weekend so there was never an issue with things feeling too slow. It does feel like a network show with tits but that's ok with me. I don't pay for showtime anyway. I'm ready to see Morena Baccarin naked again.

the thing that stuck with me the most from season one was the look of satisfaction/validation on mandy patankin's face after he stayed up all night putting together manic claire danes' color coded chart. it was like a two second shot but i thought that was great.

i cant remember how the first season ended
like he had bombs in the back of his car when he took his family out for pancakes but anything past that is blank for me
maybe they'll fill me in if i watch the trailer

first season ended with Danes getting lobotomized as she realizes that the ginger dude had panicked nightmares in front of her about Abu Nazir's son

ginger dude kills his brother in arms for Abu Nazir too

ok, so i stopped watching after ep.5

i just finished the season and it def gets better in the 2nd half (understandable, since the action picks up)

still agree with badhat that maybe Danes wasn't ideal casting, but i got used to her i guess and didn't bother me as much

so, yeah, not a great show but not a waste of time either (it often felt like a classier and less in your face "24". not knocking 24, i loved a few seasons of that show)

that s2 trailer is pretty good, actually

So this is back tonight, weird how it's on tv the same day (earlier?) here as the US. Just read a thing about Claire Danes in The Guardian where the writer describes this as the drama threatening to trump The Wire as the crowning show of this television "golden age" :?

I'm going to preemptively say that Patinkin rocked, writing was dumb, Danes is still annoying, glad to see the return of boobs and I look forward to the season and man I can't believe Abu Nazir didn't stop him!

(Hope I'm accurate with this one)
