just came back from a Nintendo event and got to spend a decent amount of time with the Wii-U. The gamepad is surprisingly comfortable to hold, but all the games i played were basically glorified minigame demos (nintendoland) I did get to play the new Rayman, and it was pretty great--actually had better graphics than Origins.

Also, ZombiU had the worst control lag i've ever experienced in a game (worse than like Onlive) but the Nintendo rep assured me it was just a beta. We'll see.

I play so much Ticket To Ride on my iphone at work when I'm bored, I'm assuming it's even better on an ipad
everyone should pick that app up, it's awesome, but then again the actual board game is awesome as well

mine was out of town this weekend and I randomly cycled between the first hour or two of Far Cry 2, Modern Warfare 3, Skyrim, and Dead Island

too much choice can be a bad thing

This is sexy. I hope they add in a few more things to the package. Plush doll, book and DLC characters (?) seems a little paltry for $110 price tag.

I loved saints row 2 and played it inside and out, up and down
saints row 3 however left me totally cold

in other news my buddy phil has now demanded that everytime we hang out, I must play some bulletstorm for his entertainment. such a fun game, with the caveat that I haven't played very many fps games so my standards are low. but its just so ridiculously entertaining

Expected to quickly tire of Guild Wars 2 this weekend like I do with most MMOs, but the wealth of secrets with some pretty clever platforming was really doing it for me.

Somewhere around $125 I think. Batman, Saints Row, Crusader Kings, and Dead Island were the only ones that cost more than $5 or $6.

i got wizorb right before the summer sale started so i didnt really count it

and yeah, something feels off with saints row three. like they saved all the weapons and missions for dlc. and the city feels really small.

i thought i had just barely made it anywhere in the game and then i saw i had completed like 30 of 37 missions.

i tried to stick to things under $10, otherwise i probably would have picked up sins of a solar empire

also regret not getting red faction

The Sins of a Solar Empire version I got is the old one, so it was $5. Never played the franchise before.

i really want to play the x games but whatever variant of x3 i have is so goddamn buggy and confusing that i had trouble getting like the scripted parts of the early missions to work

I bought the x3 bundle last year but I haven't dug into it yet. The learning curve sounds pretty intimidating.

Suddenly realised I haven't really seen head or tail of my girlfriend today, walk into her room to find she's bought Rollercoaster Tycoon from GOG for a fiver. Might do the same.
