oh alright

no, that didn't satisfy my impulse

i think i would have needed multiple contemporary scenes to feel fully connected

it's okay though

i recognize that it's not the end of the world if i can't engage deeply with the villain in The Dark Knight Rises

thats a good line

you really need to see this one in imax. i saw it on a military base and it was a huge hit with that audience.

He says it at the end, it's his last line in the movie or thereabouts.

Excuse me, I don't think Lucius said it. Some Wayne enterprises engineers were going over it at the end and said it was reprogrammed 6 months ago. I just remember it being snuck in there.

Did they ever mention what Selina was so intent on wiping clean? Or was it just that she had a bunch of minor crimes on her record?

There were some technicians examining another (aircraft? Bat?) at Wayne Enterprises. Tech says something like,
"Why do you care? This stabilization system's obsolete."
"I just want to know what I could have done to fix it."
"But, Mr. Fox, the autopilot's already been fixed. Patched six months ago."
"Check the ID on the patch."
"Bruce Wayne."

It was also reveled that Wayne contributed to a number of open source projects, inc. Thunderbird.

I don't think they were that minor. Also, I think they mentioned that she had already broken out of lockup at the beginning of the movie.

so this movie was completely awesome and a lot of fun. Really enjoyed Anne Hathaway surprisingly. Was kinda disappointed that ultimately it came down to a "disarm the bomb" type moment, + there really was no emotional investment in the villain backstory.

I love this trilogy, I feel like Nolan is always on the verge of genius but hasn't quite reached it yet

artists, so that we shall not drown in evil waters, and so that they
shall not come to our residence to ruin it.’’

yeah my only gripe. not just disarm but how it was taken away on a supposed suicide mission... we already had one movie with that kind of independence day ending this year...

really good, man

had a great weekend: farmers market, sharon and i cooked a great dinner together last night, two big bike rides this weekend, set some personal records on some local climbs, got a little yardwork done, treated myself to some ben and jerrys...

pretty much first class weekend all around, really.

Yeah no reasonable person who enjoyed it is saying that it was an unimpeachable work of ideal art. They're saying that there were things about it which were enjoyable.

just came back from the theater where i saw this (first time)

went straight to page 30something, saw how retarded the next 30 pages were doomed to be and i'm posting this without reading further

movie was fine, despite its flaws, and an appropriate ending to the trilogy. obviously, TDK is still #1, but this was at least on the same level as Begins. i thought Hathaway did a good job and so did Hardy. really appreciated the ending

obviously, i'm not into comic books
