man i found a sweet connection recently and have been picking up 20-30 15mg IR once a month the last three months. i love controlled amphetamines for so many reasons but a lot of what southpaw described is true for me as well. I tend to overdo it though and get that methy mindset where taking another just seems like the most natural, sensible idea. and i also get hella drunk at the end of an Adderall Day, which becomes cumulatively exhausting. ALSO, one feature that's really weird is when i take a good amount, like 30mg ir at once, i don't want to do regular, mundane shit liking going to the bank or calling my insurance company or chilling with friends. i don't feel super ampy or anything, but very conservative about how i spend time, thinking i should be doing something directly improved by having taken adderall. which ends up with me not getting necessary shit done.

I keep hearing that. So I broached the subject with my GP. Standard ADD symptoms etc and he just wanted to refer me to someone for a battery of tests. I called the student med clinic at UA, who I was told is handing out prescriptions like communion wafers and was referred to someone for a battery of tests. The same someone my doctor had told me about. So I called her office and they have a battery of tests and interviews they administer that is about $700 of non insurance covered hurdles and they may not prescribe when done.

Have I just not found the right underhanded MD yet? Or is this just part of the "gimme the script" game with this shit? As a balding 40 year old with too many students on the high school and college level in this town, going the illegal route is out of the question. I bet the source would be a current or former student.

they're probably also more skeptical about younger patients

otherwise i have no answers. i've been to 3 doctors for ADD meds and only one did anything other than just write me a prescription for amphetamines. that guy told me to try an SSRI first, then he relented and gave me adderall at the next appointment

Being 41 I am definitely not a younger patient. I just said fuck it and went to my doc and told him I needed Phentermine to take off a couple of pounds and not balloon up during the holidays. Start my script tomorrow.

ah i did not realize you were that old.

i think most docs trust me because i tell them i hate adderall but i need it because i'm completely unable to focus on anything. it helps that this is also the truth. but i also don't think it hurts that i'm not in college and i have a job and come across as a normal person.
